THE SUPPORTING ORGANIZATION TO THE MELAMCHI GHYANG SECONDARY SCHOOL

Melamchighyang Secondary School is proud to be supported by several dedicated organizations whose contributions have played a crucial role in enhancing educational opportunities and school infrastructure. Their generous support strengthens learning, improves facilities, and empowers students and teachers in our community.

1. Bozeman Rotary Club 

Support Provided:

  • Establishment of an ICT Laboratory with a capacity for 25 students

  • Teacher training programs to improve instructional skills and digital literacy

Thanks to Bozeman Rotary Club, students now have access to modern technology and digital learning tools. In addition, teachers benefit from professional development and capacity building.

2. Tsering’s Fund

Support provided through Helambu Shikshya Pratisthan:

  • Two basic-level teacher salaries at Pemba Chholing School, Helambu-01, Sindhupalchok

  • School building roof renovation

  • Classroom and hostel refurbishment

  • Two teacher salaries at Bhanjang Basic Secondary School, Helambu-05, Batase, Sindhupalchok

Tsering’s Fund has made significant contributions toward improving school infrastructure and ensuring continuity of quality education in rural schools.

3. International Foundation for Education and Entrepreneurship (IFFEE)

Support Provided:

  • Salaries of two secondary-level teachers

  • Construction of a girls’ hostel building

  • Waste management training programs

IFFEE’s support has helped enhance secondary education, promote girls’ education through safe hostel facilities, and introduce sustainable waste management practices in the school environment.

4. KETAKETI

Support Provided:

  • Payment of teacher salaries to support school operations in rural Helambu

  • Support for individual students’ educational journeys

  • Assistance during and after emergencies (such as earthquake relief) through provision of essentials like sleeping bags, mattresses, improved nutrition, and facilities for students

  • Ongoing engagement in school development and community partnership activities with close ties to the school’s leadership and community members.

  • Ketaketi (meaning “boy” and “girl” in Nepali) is committed to sustainable development through quality education, health care, and community support. Their long-term engagement helps ensure that students receive practical, affordable education and that the school continues to grow and deliver strong exam performance and holistic opportunities for learners.
